Joel Embiid Knocked Out of Game With Nasty Headbutt From Teammate

The 76ers star suffered a facial contusion in Wednesday night's game against the Knicks.

Joel Embiid was forced out of Philadelphia's game against the Knicks on Wednesday night after a brutal headbutt collision on Wednesday night.

This wasn't a WWE-style headbutt with an opponent, though. The All-Star was knocked out of the game after a fluke collision with rookie 76ers guard Markelle Fultz—who had just returned from an ailment himself.

Attempting to execute a handoff near the top of the key, Fultz's head collided with Embiid's face, knocking the seven-footer to the floor.
