NBA Fans Respond to Reports of Phoenix Suns Parting Ways With Monty Williams

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Phoenix Suns and Monty Williams are parting ways after playoff loss versus the Nuggets.

The first wave of changes within the Phoenix Suns organization is here and it is a big one.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Suns "dismissed" head coach Monty Williams, meaning the team and him have reportedly parted ways.

The news dropped on a Saturday night, but NBA fans, who are still reeling from Game 6 of the Nuggets-Suns game on Thursday, had plenty to say.

Monty Williams had a 194-115 record in four seasons for a Suns franchise that went 87-241 the four years prior and gets fired.

In 2022, Williams won the Red Auerbach Trophy as NBA Coach of the Year. It was Williams’ first NBA Coach of the Year Award. During that year, he led the Suns to a league-best 64-18 record.
