If you look at Steph Curry’s stat line from Game 6 of the 2016 NBA Finals, it looks like he had a great game. The reigning NBA MVP scored 30 points in 35 minutes. But Curry was in foul trouble for much of the night, and he ended up fouling out of the game with a little more than four minutes left in the fourth quarter and the Warriors trailing by 12 points.
Curry wasn’t happy about it. So after he got whistled for his sixth foul, he took his mouthguard out, chucked it, and accidentally hit a fan, who turned out to be the son of one of the Cavaliers' minority owners:
Curry regained his composure within a matter of just a few moments. He walked over to the fan, apologized, and shook hands with him. But this can’t be a good sign for Golden State as they prepare for a Game 7 on Sunday night, can it?
Check out a clip of Curry chucking his mouthguard in the clip above. On the plus side, a used Steph Curry mouthguard is worth about $5,000, so the fan can’t be too mad at Curry for what he did.
