10 Sports People Who Had a Worse Week Than You

Last week, we were pleasantly surprised by how few sports-related people had bad weeks. Maybe it was because Super Bowl XLVIII overshadowed all of the bad things that took place in the days leading up to the big game. Or maybe it was because athletes did their best to avoid making negative headlines. But whatever the case, the 10 Sports People Who Had a Worse Week Than You list last week didn't feature too many people who had weeks that were that bad. Sure, there were a few people who struggled during games and a few others who got caught up in minor controversies. But no one got arrested or got caught up in baby mama drama or anything like that. It was actually kind of nice to see that most athletes had a good week.

Unfortunately, we can't say the same thing this week. Because the last seven days were bad—real bad—for a handful of sports-related people. There was one major athlete who got arrested for doing something pretty serious. There was another who got hit with some baby mama drama. Early last week, the Bulls center got tossed from a game after picking up two technical fouls. And he was not happy about it. So he cursed at all three referees who were working the game and them stormed off the court. We were able to obtain some audio from the game—and it was not a pretty scene. Noah didn't get suspended for his actions. But he did get fined $15,000 by the league. And the next time something like this happens, he's probably going to be in big trouble.

Were you upset about the fact that Denver lost to the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII? Well, no matter how upset you were, you weren't half as upset as this girl. She was pissed about the Broncos sucking it up in the Super Bowl, and she wasn't afraid to show it. We imagine she's still sitting in her living room going on and on about how much Peyton Manning stinks.

The legendary broadcaster is the face of the 2014 Winter Olympics for NBC. But he started off the Olympics with a nasty eye infection that forced him to wear weird glasses during his broadcasts. Thankfully, it's cleared up. But he didn't get off to a very good start in Sochi.

The Pacers guard is reportedly going to have a baby sometime very soon. So congrats should be in order, right? Er, not quite. As it turns out, George allegedly got a former stripper from Miami named "Daniela" pregnant last year. So although things are going great for him on the basketball court—and although he's reportedly dating Doc Rivers' daughter Callie—this is a very confusing time for him. "If and when there is legal confirmation that I am the father, I will fully embrace my responsibilities," he told TMZ Sports on Thursday. "This is a personal matter that is still being sorted out, so I hope you can respect my privacy." Hopefully, things get sorted out soon before any more rumors about George come out.

It's still a little unclear exactly what happened at the end of the Oklahoma State/Texas Tech game on Saturday night. But Smart tumbled into the crowd at the end of a Cowboys' loss to the Red Raiders, got into a brief altercation with Orr, and then ended up pushing him before making his way back to the OK State bench. Orr later admitted that he said something he shouldn't have to Smart. But even if he did say something to him, Smart's reaction is likely going to earn him a suspension. So both men came out of the situation looking bad—and the situation overshadowed a great win for Texas Tech.

The 31-year-old UFC fighter is in big, BIG trouble right now. On Thursday night, he threatened to shoot up the Pablo Popovitch Mixed Martial Arts Academy in southern Florida after he accused his wife of having an affair with Popovitch. Then, when Popovitch called 911 on him, Silva drove to his house in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., barricaded himself inside with a gun, and refused to come out. The SWAT team was eventually able to get him to give himself up and prevent a tragedy from taking place. But Silva was later charged with aggravated assault and held in jail without bond. UFC also terminated his contract with the company after the incident.

Oh, so you want to try and troll athletes on Twitter? DON'T. Both Roy Hibbert and Richard Sherman proved why it's not a good idea to do it in their own special ways. If you don't want to be forced to delete your Twitter in shame, leave athletes alone on Twitter.

All of the text messages that Martin and Richie Incognito exchanged between October 2012 and November 2013 leaked out last week. And they told a much, much different story than the one that Martin and his lawyers told after Martin left the Dolphins late last year and accused Incognito of bullying him. The texts don't tell the whole story. But they do show that Incognito and Martin were friends for more than a year and also demonstrate that their relationship was more than just Incognito bullying Martin. It could hurt Martin's chances of ever playing in the NFL again.

It's been awhile since we've heard about Starbury playing in the Chinese Basketball Association. But this week, we found out that he was ejected from a game recently for throwing a punch at an opposing player. It resulted in the photo that you see above. It's a shame that this is the only kind of thing that Marbury makes headlines for these days.

Shortly after Olympians and members of the media began to check into their hotel rooms in Sochi, Russia for the 2014 Winter Olympics, complaints about the conditions of the living quarters started coming out. You can read all about them here. And Kozak—Russia's deputy prime minister and the man who was in charge of getting Russia ready for the Olympics—had a simple explanation for all the #SochiProblems. Late last week, he claimed that there were no problems and that the media was simply trying to make Russia look bad by manufacturing stories about shoddy hotel rooms. He said that he had proof, too. "We have surveillance videos from the hotels that shows people turn on the shower, direct the nozzle at the wall, and then leave the room for the whole day," he said. Wait, so you're saying you have surveillance cameras inside of peoples' rooms?! Facepalm. Somehow, Kozak made a bad situation even worse with that explanation. What. A. Mess.
