Earlier this week, LeBron James jumped on Instagram to tell Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving how excited he is to get back out on the court with them next season.
"Man I can't wait to get back on the floor again with you two guys!" he wrote. "Last year was just a sample size of what we're capable of and I'm so hyped thinking about what's next."
But as it turns out, LeBron might have to wait quite awhile before the band is back together again. According to a report published by the Northeast Ohio Media Group earlier today, the Cavaliers aren't going to be in any rush to put Irving on the court next season as he continues to recover from the left kneecap fracture that he suffered during the 2015 NBA Finals. In fact, he might not return to the floor until January.
Irving himself said, "I'm honestly not putting a date on anything," when he was asked about his return last month, so there's a chance this could be true. And if it is, it means that LeBron and Love will have to shoulder the bulk of the load next season and that the Cavaliers will once again have an uphill battle during at least the first part of the year.
