If you take good care of your car, it could last you forever. Well, not forever ever. But if you maintain it properly and give it the care it needs, it could last you for a really long time.

A Greensboro, N.C. man's 2001 Toyota Avalon is proof of that. Mike Lipperman bought the car more than a decade ago and regularly puts about 600 miles per week on it commuting to and from work. But it still has its original engine and its original transmission—despite the fact that Lipperman has now accumulated more than 500,000 miles on the car.
