On Sunday night, celebrity jeweler Aron Aranbayev was struck by a car in Queens, N.Y. during a hit-and-run accident. The 40-year-old—who was known as "Eric" and who had a long lists of clients including Jay Z, Drake, Khloe Kardashian, Rick Ross, and T.I.—died Monday as a result of the injuries that he sustained after a Dodge Magnum hit him. And now, Floyd Mayweather, another celebrity client of Aranbayev, is putting up $10,000 to try and help find the person who killed him.
The total reward is actually $50,000. Aranbayev's family, which runs a jewelry store called Rafaello & Co. in New York City, has kicked in $25,000 with an anonymous donor adding an extra $15,000. But Mayweather has reportedly reached out to the family to tell them that he's down to help them in any way he can.
"I am here for you guys," he wrote to them, according to the New York Post. "We're family."
Police are urging anyone with details about Aranbayev's death to contact them immediately.
