So this is just about the saddest thing you’ll read this week.
Earlier this afternoon, former NFL quarterback Doug Flutie announced that both of his parents died. His father Dick had been sick for some time and suffered a heart attack in the hospital. But unfortunately, it didn’t end there. Less than an hour later, Flutie’s mom Joan also died and, just like her husband, it happened after she suffered a heart attack.
Flutie took to Facebook to explain the situation and to thank everyone for their well wishes:
