DeAndre Jordan Reportedly Left the Clippers Because Chris Paul Was a Massive Jerk

It's not exactly a secret that DeAndre Jordan and Chris Pauldidn't always see eye-to-eye during their time together in Los Angeles. Neither of them will admit it, but there have been reports about their alleged issues in the past. And after DJ left the Clippers late last week to sign a free agent deal with the Mavericks, ESPN writer Kevin Arnovitz reported that one of the main factors in DJ's decision to leave was his fractured relationship with CP3.

"The core of the team had been together for more than three years, and tempers were wearing thin," Arnovitz wrote. "Jordan and Chris Paul had gotten into it more than once, which led Jordan to start seriously contemplating what it might be like to play elsewhere in 2015-16. He was tired of Paul's constant barking and petty gestures, like distributing high-fives to the three other guys on the floor following a timeout but somehow freezing out Jordan."

Arnovitz also reported that CP3 didn't make much of an effort to recruit DJ to come back to the Clippers once he became a free agent on July 1.

"Paul made only half-hearted attempts to reach out to Jordan late in the process," sources told Arnovitz.

If any of this is true, isn't it kind of amazing that the Clippers' championship window may have been slammed shut because of…high-fives?
