If this is true, it's super weird.

If Andre Berto is trying to sell people on the idea of him being a good choice for Floyd Mayweather's next and last fight, he's doing a pretty good job right now.

Berto—who is in the running to be Mayweather's final opponent—spoke with TMZ Sports yesterday and revealed that he has received a series of harassing phone calls recently. And while the creepy caller hasn't actually identified himself during the calls, he believes that it has been Mayweather contacting him.

"I know it's him on the other line," he said. "I can hear him breathing on the other end of the phone. Stop getting people to call my phone, bro, and asking me about this person and that person. Don't do that shit. That shit is lame, it's corny. He has too much money for that."

TMZ Sports also spoke with a TMT representative who told them that Mayweather has not been calling Berto. But Berto is pretty convinced that it's been him calling and, according to a Berto source who spoke with TMZ Sports, he believes that it's because he is friendly with Mayweather's ex-fiancée Shantel Jackson and Nelly.

How weird is that?
