"The Times They Are a-Changing" is a good quote to apply if you've been watching the NFL this season and have a hankering for Bob Dylan on a Tuesday morning for whatever reason. Rules are tighter, the Chiefs are actually pretty good, and the top teams of yesteryear are tanking.
The Giants and Steelers—which were teams to beat a few years ago—developed some sort of severe scoring anemia. The two currently have some of the weakest scoring outputs in the league (the G-men 38-0 indicates an extremely weak scoring output). Usually their pass rush would be strong enough to almost make up for that, but the Giants and Steelers gave up 38 and 40 points respectively, so not even that has been working out for them. The normally dominant New England Patriots haven't looked all that impressive either, although their 3-0 record is envied by the two teams we just mentioned.
Not all things have changed though. The Lions and Jets are still respecting their history by having some more fails. The Browns also come to terms with the fact that they can't score using regular means, so they say screw it and score by another means. Let's recall what happened on GIF Gallery: The Wins and Fails of NFL Week 3.

Browns can't score touchdown the regular way, so they resort to tricks.
Date: 9/22/2013
Player(s): Spencer Lanning, Jordan Cameron
The Browns had one of the worst offenses in the league and were playing their third-string quarterback; this should've been a win for the Vikings. Instead of going 0-3, Cleveland decided to get weird, and Minnesota's ineptitude in plays like these allowed the team to do so. Check out how ridiculously wide open James Cameron (far right) was on this fake field goal. Adrian Peterson's daughter would've been a saint not to question how the Vikings could've possibly lost to Cleveland (31-27).
Antonio Brown really doesn't need two hands.

Yes, the Steelers are now 0-3 for the first time in over a decade, and yes, they've allowed the Bears to put up 40 points against them—the most in recent memory. Pittsburgh is ranked 30th in the league in points right now, but at least seven of those were unquestionably some of the best of the year.
Can we get some better camera angles, please?
Date: 9/22/2013
Player(s): Andy Lee
The only thing useful about this camera angle is the newfound knowledge that punters have flaccid behinds.
Atlanta Falcons' Harry Douglas died (not really, but still).
Date: 9/22/2013
Player(s): Harry Douglas, Don Jones
Isn't this something? Your teammate is probably lying there with his name knocked off the back of his jersey, and you're over there trying to recover the fumble. Shameful!
And here's your Jets fail moment of the week, brought to you by Sheldon Richardson.
Date
Player(s): Sheldon Richardson
How perfect would this moment be if Fred Jackson let out a premature, "Ha ha, thanks sucka!" as he was running by Sheldon Richardson? The rookie certainly made a name for himself in this moment.
Tom Brady is so emotional.
Date: 9/22/2013
Player(s): Tom Brady
Tom Brady and the Patriots are 3-0, but it's not a great 3-0. New England's offense is far from dominant, and it's easy to blame their inexperienced wide receivers especially after their last perfomance against the Jets. He even tried to get Brandon Lloyd and Deion Branch to return to the team by texting them. But when Brady threw a particularly bad interception to Buccaneers safety Mark Barron, he turned his anger toward himself. Brady is captured mouthing a particularly sad "Fuck me" and you have to be at least a little upset at the teammate next to him for not at least offering a hug.
Are quarterbacks trucking defenders a thing now?
Date: 9/22/2013
Player(s): Jay Cutler
One of these quarterbacks are gonna fuck around and catch an injury. Cutler obviously isn't worried about that possibility though. He may be channeling his rage at last week's referee here, but the fact that he pulled this on a safety is pretty hilarious in itself. He's lucky Troy Polamalu wasn't in that spot instead.
CenturyLink Field is too loud.
Player(s): Jordan Todman
Date: 9/22/2013
Come on, there's absolutely no way Todman can be pulling taunts when his team is still down by 20. He was obviously trying to tell the CenturyLink Field crowd to quiet down. You've seen what the noise helped do to San Francisco. Todman is obviously asking for some silence and courtesy for him to work toward a comeback, which would still be kind of ridiculous because these are the Jaguars we're talking about.
Screwing up a snap is the scariest thing that will happen to you in life.
Date: 9/22/2013
Player(s): Matthew Stafford
You've never seen someone so shook at messing up a snap. This still doesn't top how mortified Eli Manning looked last year against the Steelers, but his case was understandable. Barely understandable, but still.
The Giants aren't doing so well.
Date: 9/22/2013
Player(s): Eli Manning
Big Blue is completely shitting the bed right now. The first week was Eli Manning's three interceptions, the second week was a case of the Peyton Manning, and this week the Giants topped their previous failures by completely sucking in every aspect. Anybody who's been following the Giants have seen some pretty bad performances, like the 2010 shellacking they got from the Packers and last year's beat down from the Falcons. Those two happened way late in the season though; the Giants got thrashed by the Panthers 38-0 and it's only Week 3.
This is the largest loss the Giants took during the Tom Coughlin era, and we're not sure if the offensive line just doesn't want to see Manning flourish—allowing seven sacks is just crazy. They also had 18 yards of total offense in the first half. What's going to be fixed before they face the newly competent Cheifs on Sunday? Actually, here's a better question: Does New York even have enough time between now and then to fix what's wrong with their squad?
