Heavyweight Alistair Overeem (35-13, 1 NC) became the latest victim of foot-on-jaw violence when Travis Browne (15-1-1, 11 KO) tagged him with a brutal front kick that sent him on his way to the mat like a baby who forgot how to walk. To be fair, it was a back-and-forth match prior to the knockout and Overeem did have Browne backed to a corner.
This only lasted one round though, and a couple of follow-up right hands forced the referee to stop the fight. This is the second time in a row that Overeem has been knocked out; the last time was perhaps fittingly by the hands of Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva.
