Tyreek Hill is headed to Miami.
Less than an hour after it was reported that Kansas City had given Hill permission to seek a trade after contract extension talks came to a standstill, the Chiefs traded their star wide receiver to the Dolphins.
As reported by ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Dolphins gave up a first-round pick, a second-rounder and a fourth-rounder in 2022 along with fourth-and-sixth-rounders in 2023. Subsequently, Miami signed Tyreek to a four-year, $120 million extension with $72 million guaranteed.
Over his first six seasons in the NFL, all of which have been with the Chiefs, Hill has been selected to the Pro Bowl six times, earning three first-team All-Pro honors (2016, 2018, 2020). The game-breaking wide receiver is also coming off a career year in which he tallied a franchise-record 111 receptions for 1,239 yards and nine touchdowns for Kansas City last season.
Hill previously signed a three-year $54 million extension with the Chiefs in 2019.
