Basketball and rap go hand-in-hand. You know the old saying, "Every rapper wants be a baller and every baller wants to be a rapper." A couple weeks back, the controversial Chief Keef dropped a video for his song entitled, "Kobe," where he stunts poetically about how he feels like Bean Bryant since getting signed to Interscope. We wondered, what would David Stern say if he ever heard this record? We're pretty positive that it'll piss him off to the point where he'll start digging holes for bodies. He once blocked Allen Iverson from dropping an album because of it's homophobic lyrics and implemented a dress code because he was tired of white tees, baggy jeans and wave caps. Stern hasn't heard Stephen Jackson's thugged out rap ballads because if he did, Captain Jack would be fined immediately. He also probably shook his head in disgust when Shaq kicked a freestyle dissing Dwight Howard before the season started.

Amateur rappers aside, there has been some hip-hop veterans (and rookies) that have made some clever NBA references in their raps. There's guys like Young Jeezy that used Kobe and LeBron's jersey number to let us know how much he's getting that white girl for and newcomers like Lil B that bags chicks because his swag is like Michael Jordan's. And don't forget Jigga who put his NBA business in a song with Kanye after getting fined for socializing in Kentucky's locker room during the Final Four. So, check out the 20 NBA Rap References That Will Make David Stern Cringe.

The Notorious B.I.G., "Gimme The Loot"

Year: 1994
Lyric: "I'm slamming niggas like Shaquille/Shit is real/When it's time to eat a meal/I rob and steal"

Slam dunking like Shaq is great and all, but David Stern might get lost in the whole robbing and stealing part of this song.

The Notorious B.I.G., "I Got A Story To Tell"

Year: 1997
Lyric: "All the shit's legit/She get dick from a player off the New York Knicks/Nigga tricked ridiculous, the shit was plush/She's stressin me to fuck, like she was in a rush/We fucked in his bed, quite dangerous/I'm in his ass while he playing against the Utah Jazz"

With any other team this would just be a witty hypothetical situation drawn up by Biggie. But since it's the Knicks, it's a very likely scenario. Oh, the ratchet memories of the Zeke era.

N.O.R.E. f/ Nature, Jadakiss, Styles P & Big Pun, "Banned From TV"

Year: 1998
Lyric: "Ayo, regardless of rain or snow, sleet or hail/I kick street tales, chokin' niggas like I'm Sprewell/Golden State, holdin' your fate in the palm of my hand/Blow you away like it's part of the plan" (Nature)

Spree was suspended for almost a whole year for choking P.J. Carlesimo and Nature put in a rap. We're pretty sure Stern ended Nature's career for this one. He hasn't written a hot verse since.

Jay-Z, "Pump It Up (Remix)"

Year: 2003
Lyric: "Hovi baby/You Kobe, maybe/Tracy McGrady/Matter fact, you a Harold Miner, J.R. Rider/Washed up on marijuana/Even worse you a Pervis Ellis/You worthless fella/You ain't no athlete you Shawn Bradley"

David Stern hates this song so much, the NBA made Jigga edit out the players' names on the version he put on the NBA 2K13 soundtrack. Looks like Stern found you, Hov.

Lloyd Banks, "It Blows My Mind"

Year: 2004
Lyric: "If there's more than one hoe, sit back and blow me/And argue over my balls like Shaq and Kobe"

Comparing one of the NBA's biggest feuds to oral sex? Yeah, that's one way to piss off the commish.

Lil Jon f/ Bun B, Ice Cube, Jadakiss, Nas & T.I., "Grand Finale"

Year: 2004
Lyric: "Gangstas don't dance, we boogie/I told you motherfuckas Kobe didn't take that pussy/Get money, get paid, you can beat that shit/Even if the DA is a piece of shit/Colorado got movatos, but eat that shit/Another white bitch lyin' on thee black dick" (Ice Cube)

When Kobe Bryant caught a rape charge back in 2003, he was the face of the league and though he was always cocky, not much could be said about his reputation off the court (other than his terrible attempts at rapping). We're sure Stern just loves Cube's not-so-sensitive take on the events that went down in Eagle County, CO.

Nas, "These Are Our Heroes"

Year: 2004
Lyric: "Uh, Massa used to breed us to be bigger to go play/Athletes of today in the NBA, make me proud/But there's somethin' they don't say/Keep gettin' accused for abusin' white pussay/From OJ to Kobe, uh let's call him Tobe"

So, David Stern is the Massa and the NBA is his plantation? We think we've heard this one, or two, times before.

Black Eyed Peas f/ Q-Tip. Cee-Lo, John Legend & Talib Kweli, "Like That"

Year: 2005
Lyric: "Yup, you know how the date rape go/Kobe showed the classic example" (will.i.am)

Whoa. This one came as a surprise because will.i.am is an L.A. native and The Black Eyed Peas are a feel-good group that lands some major sports events with party anthems your grandma could enjoy like "I Gotta Feeling." That being said, just make sure this track isn't in the playlist when granny—or commissoner Stern—is around.

Ludacris, "Undisputed"

Year: 2008
Lyric: "Bow down to greatness/Before I get pissed and run up in the stands like the Indiana Pacers"

If David Stern could, he would try to erase all footage of the Malice In The Palace from all record books. He's done everything to change the image of the league from the dress code, to the "Respect The Game" rule. Stern can control his players (or attempt to) but he can't control the Interwebs! #11/19/2004 #NeverForget

Lil B, "Pretty Boy"

Year: 2009
Lyric: "I'm Michael Jordan, my bitches so excited/Bitches suck my dick 'cause my chain look like lightning"

Would David Stern even know where to start with this? Does MJ rock a chain that looks like lightening? Stern would probably pass it off as nonsense, but hopefully the Based God makes it into the NBA one day.

Young Jeezy, "24-23"

Year: 2009
Lyric: "See I used to pay Kobe, but now I pay LeBron/Kobe, LeBron, Kobe, LeBron/Yeah I used to pay Kobe until I paid LeBron/Kobe, LeBron, Kobe, LeBron/24, 23/Y'all niggas remember me"

Turning the league's two biggest stars' jersey numbers into drug references is one way to get David Stern's attention. Or maybe it was Stern that gave Jeezy the better price. He's the don, after all.

Joe Budden, "Black Cloud"

Year: 2010
Lyric: "Motivation the game was supplying me/it's no longer providing me/Jayson Williams, something killed whatever was driving me"

You knew an NBA rap references list wouldn't be complete without Joe Budden. On this track he makes a reference former NBA player Jayson Williams murdering his driver. David Stern might not like the negativity, but he has to love the wordplay.

Rick Ross f/ Meek Mill & Gunplay, "The Finals"

Year: 2011
Lyric: Entire song.

Using the free throw line as a metaphor for coke? Check. Calling cheerleaders "hood bitches?" Yup. On top of all that, the MMG crew used Bill Russell's mug as the art for the single. Nice touch.

Game f/ Beanie Sigel & Rick Ross, "Heavy Artillery"

Year: 2011
Lyric: "I speed off doing 90 with Tha Carter blaring/Bust shots in the Cavalier like I ball with Baron/Yeah, I Blake Griff niggas, make stiff niggas/Eminem wasn't Dr. Dre's only sick nigga" (Game)

David Stern probably wouldn't be a fan of any wordplay that combines NBA player names with references to drive-by shootings. We guess it doesn't matter because Game still sits courtside.

Jay-Z & Kanye West, "Niggas in Paris"

Year: 2011
Lyric: "So I ball so hard mothafuckas wanna fine me/First niggas gotta find me/What's 50 grand to a mothafucka like me?/Can you please remind me (Ball so hard)/This shit crazy/Y'all don't know that don't shit faze me/The Nets could go 0 for 82 and I'd look at you like this shit gravy"

The NBA fined Hova 50 stacks after he went into Kentucky's locker room to congratulate the Wildcats on advancing to the Final Four. So, he put it in a song and more than likely woke up to a horse's head in his bed.

CyHi Da Prince, "James Harden"

Year: 2012
Lyric: Entire song

CyHi has some bars that would make the commish cringe like "I fucked 76 chicks this year, nigga/And I'm still tryna get some more cheeks," but he barely even mentions James Harden in this one. David Stern especially would not endorse "Niggas couldn't see me if they had a front row seat/At the Garden, gotta have a carbon."

Rick Ross f/ Drake & French Montana, "Stay Schemin'"

Year: 2012
Lyric: "Kobe about to lose a hundred fifty M's/Kobe my nigga I hate it had to be him/Bitch you wasn't with me shootin' in the gym (Drake)/UGH BITCH YOU WEREN'T WITH ME SHOOTIN' IN THE GYM! (Rick Ross)"

"David Stern doesn't comment on personal matters pertaining to players."

Kanye West, "Cold"

Year: 2012
Lyric: "And I'll admit I fell in love with Kim/Around the same time she had fell in love with him/Well that's cool, baby girl, do your thing/Lucky I ain't have Jay drop him from the team"

So, Jigga only owns one-fifteenth of a percent of the Nets, but this Yeezy line still had fans going H.A.M. this year. We're sure Stern was more annoyed than anything else with this line.

Meek Mill f/ Big Sean, "Burn"

Year: 2012
Lyric: "I alley oop your bitch off that backboard she throw it back/I slam dunk in that pussy, Blake Griffin'd yo ho, nigga" (Meek Mill)

"Burn" is a very rapid lyrical exercise, especially in the breakdown when Meek "alley oops that bitch off of a backboard." David Stern would not co-sign, but maybe Blake would?

Chief Keef, "Kobe"

Year: 2012
Lyric: Entire Song

We could go on about the drug referenced, misogynistic, and violent lyrics in Keef's latest single but a couple bars sum up why this one would make David Stern—and many other people—cringe. "I want top in the car she say boy you going too far/I said 'I'm Kobe bitch don't act like you never done this before.'" #yikes #nuffsaid
