Markelle Fultz Reportedly Returning to Philly to Rehab Shoulder

Fultz is coming back into the fold.

Markelle Fultz's shoulder has managed to stay in the news even on a Philadelphia 76ers team full of storylines. His busted jump shot and the eventual revelation that he was playing through a nagging shoulder injury intrigued NBA fans. While reports have indicated that Philly is ready to move on from Fultz, the young player has reportedly returned to the city to rehab his shoulder and hopes to return this season. 

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that he's making progress toward a return. 

Guard Markelle Fultz has returned to Philadelphia to continue his shoulder rehabilitation with the Sixers, league sources tell ESPN. No timetable yet on a return to the lineup. He's attending Sixers-Thunder game today.

Fultz has been undergoing therapy for thoracic outlet syndrome in Los Angeles since leaving the Sixers in early December. "Guard Markelle Fultz has returned to Philadelphia to continue his shoulder rehabilitation with the Sixers," Woj reported on Twitter. "Sixers have had staff in California observing progress, and now Fultz will work at team's facility to try to ramp up for an eventual return to the season." 

No timeline has been given for Fultz's return, though it's clear that he hopes to be back before the end of the year as the team is pushing toward the playoffs.
