Kijuana Njie, the Las Vegas woman who leaked a video of now-former Dolphins offensive line coach Chris Foerster using cocaine, claims she released the video to highlight racial inequality within the NFL. While speaking on ESPN Radio's The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz show on Wednesday, Njie said, "My motive was to basically expose the inequalities in the system."
She continued: "It's not just the NFL. The inequalities that come with being a minority compared with a white privileged person in America in general. This is shining light on the inequalities we have as a country. We don't get paid the same amount as everyone else."
Njie also said she couldn't believe a man who was being paid millions of dollars to lead a larger group of men was bold enough to send her a video of him using hard drugs at his workplace. "How do we have someone who is paid millions to be a leader for a team doing blow when we can’t have blacks kneeling for the anthem?" she asked. "After I realized his habits and who he was and everything going on the system, he was going to get exposed."
In the video that caused the firestorm, which Njie posted to Facebook on Sunday before later removing it, Foerster can be seen snorting cocaine with the aid of a $20 bill. Before he started snorting the drug, he said, "Hey babe, miss you, thinking about you. How about me going to a meeting and doing this before I go?"
"What do you think, I’m crazy?" he said later in the clip. "It’ll be awhile before we can do this again. Because I know you have to keep that baby. But I think about you when I do it. I think about how much I miss you. How high we got together. How much fun it was."
Foerster resigned on Monday after the video surfaced. During the interview, Njie also made mention of threats she received from Foerster and claimed the former coach used her as a "cocaine platter" during their time together. The two met in California over the summer, according to Njie, and were dating.
"He basically sent me a message saying anything I planned to do or tried to harm him will be turned over to his job's security team," she said. "After he sent the video, he came off his high and low-key kind of threatened me if I ended up exposing the information. Before he could do anything to me, I felt that needed to be exposed. Just in case I somehow pop up dead, that story was still going to get out."
