Deontay Wilder (41-0-1, 40 KOs) held on to his WBC heavyweight title by knocking out Dominic Breazeale (20-2, 18 KOs) with a brutal right hand on Saturday night.

The punch and subsequent knockout arrived during the first round, shortly after the two minute mark.

The fight took place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

While speaking about his then-upcoming fight against Breazeale, Wilder said: "This is the only sport where you can kill a man and get paid for it at the same time...so why not use my right to do so?" The boxer faced condemnation for the comments.

WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman called the comments "regrettable and completely against the spirit of our sport."
