The Miami Heat announced today Chris Bosh is officially out for the rest of the 2016 postseason.

Bosh has been inactive the All-Star break with a blood-clot condition, the same ailment that kept him out for much of last season. Bosh was seemingly pressuring the Heat to allow him to return to the court this year. His wife tweeted this last Tuesday:

Bosh posted a Snapchat of him knocking down jumpers that same day.

The Heat made it clear they didn't want Bosh to return to the court, as they felt it was too dangerous. Bosh reportedly reached out to the players' association for help to convince the Heat he could play. This was a messy situation that's finally been resolved, at least on the surface. He's still under contract with the Heat for three years after this season.

Miami currently leads Toronto 1-0 in the best-of-seven series. Bosh, a former Raptor, reportedly played a big part in rallying the Heat after Kyle Lowry's buzzer-beater to tie the game at the end of regulation.
