Andre Drummond was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, and the two-time NBA All-Star made his feelings on the deal abundantly clear.
"If there's one thing I learned about the NBA, there's no friends or loyalty," Drummond tweeted after the deal was announced. "I've given my heart and soul to the Pistons, and to be have this happen with no heads up makes me realize even more that this is just a business! I love you Detroit... You will always have a special place in my heart! But on to the next @cavs hope your ready! Let's finish the year off the right way."
As part of the trade, the Pistons will receive the underwhelming package of John Henson, Brandon Knight, and a future second-round pick. Drummond started his professional career with the Pistons in 2012, but had yet to achieve any real success. Still, Drummond's disappointment is understandable, as the dysfunctional Cavs are one of the worst teams in the NBA.
The trade, which was one of many made ahead of the trade deadline, was met with a negative response by fans on Twitter, who couldn't believe what the Pistons got in return for the big man.
