"I never once meant to make anyone feel like I wasn’t thankful and appreciative of the opportunity that I was afforded to play the game I love."

Antonio Brown has had quite a volatile year. Now, the former NFL player has taken to Instagram to apologize for his behavior.

Alongside a photo of him in a Pittsburgh Steelers uniform, he wrote, “Over the past few weeks I’ve had the opportunity to think about everything that’s transpired and I am deeply sorry to all who I’ve offended. While my behavior was inexcusable, sometimes when people are coming at you with false information and allegations, we handle ourselves in ways that we sometimes regret. I do take full responsibility for my actions and I’m working everyday to repair what I broke.”

Even though the wide receiver has been cut by both the Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots this season due to problems with management and allegations of sexual assault, he has still been optimistic about returning to the league.

Brown is currently under investigation by the NFL regarding those assault allegations from his former personal trainer, Britney Taylor. He has also called out the league in his forced semi-retirement, accusing the NFL of treating him poorly because he is black—and even filed several grievances against his former teams.

Most recently, he countersued his rape accuser, Taylor, claiming that she’s lying and has “all but ruined Brown's career.” Brown has consistently denied the allegations, and now he’s seeking Taylor out for defamation.
