Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been reported to his local council for allegedly blasting "X-rated drill rap" from his £1.8 million home in Surrey.

In a letter to the council one resident said, "During summer months, we are regularly forced to scream over the fence to get the volume turned down — the music is often offensive in content. This unacceptable noise level alerts us to the decking area/parties taking place on the deck, making it increasingly intrusive."

Besides writing to their local councils, some residents have taken their complaints to the tabloids. The Sun newspaper has quoted a source as saying, "On a sunny day, they play deafening drill and rap music from big speakers on the decking and the lyrics are quite offensive. It makes you feel like you're in a ghetto not leafy Cobham".

The same neighbour also wrote to object to Loftus-Cheek being granted planning permission: "We oppose the unlawfully erected decking in our neighbour's garden as it has been built to a height that gives a view/vantage point into our garden and directly into the rear windows of our property when on the top level."

The England star (and UK drill fan) has yet to comment on the story as he recovers from a ruptured Achilles tendon.
