The only thing more impressive than Damian Lillard's 50-point performance during Tuesday night's Trailblazers-Thunder game was the winning shot that gave him that stat.
During the final seconds of the game, Dame found himself matched up with the Thunder's Paul George. As both teams were tied at 115 points, the Portland point guard pulled up from the logo, sealing the highly competitive series.
Last night's bout saw Lillard achieve several franchise records. His 37-foot game-winner made him the first Trailblazer to score 50 points in a playoff match. He scored 34 points in just the first half alone (a feat second to Eric Floyd's 39 in 1987), and he became the first player in NBA history to record at least 50 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 10 three-pointers.
The fierce rivalry between Lillard and Russell Westbrook was also highlighted during the series.
Last night's face-off saw Westbrook bring out his tried-and-true triple double, as he had 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 14 assists. But it wasn't enough to avoid elimination, as the Trailblazers' 118-115 victory concluded the series 4-1.
Of course, Twitter users were quick display their usual savagery and unloaded a series of memes.
