ESPN’s Michelle Beadle Says Kawhi Leonard Is ‘Coming Off as an Obnoxious Diva’

ESPN NBA host Michelle Beadle has never attempted to hide her Spurs affinity—she is perhaps San Antonio's biggest fan in the media. But she's definitely not onboard with Kawhi Leonard's recent behavior.

On Friday's edition of ESPN's new morning show, Get Up!, Beadle ranted about the disgruntled star and said she was "so over this dude." Check out Beadle's full impassioned monologue below.

What part of Kawhi Leonard's behavior in the last year and every story that's come out in the last several weeks says anything about this dude having any of the qualities that a leader is supposed to have? You don't talk and you don't defend yourself.… You're coming off as an obnoxious diva. You don't want to play with LeBron because you want to be the top dog? You are the top dog for a team and an organization that has done really well for many, many years.

Yeah—Beadle doesn't play games. Her rant appears to have been inspired—or at least pushed over the edge—by the recent news that Kawhi apparently now is warming up to the idea of joining the Clippers, as he reportedly does not want to play alongside LeBron James.

Leonard played in only nine games last season, where he averaged 16.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. He recently turned 27.
