A Lakers Fan Has Put Up 40 (Yes, 40) Billboards to Recruit Paul George

The Los Angeles Lakers are desperate to land Paul George in free agency—and one fan is particularly desperate. Jacob Emrani, an attorney, has paid for 40 billboards to recruit PG-13 to Hollywood.

Attorney and Lakers season ticket holder Jacob Emrani, who put up 4 billboards recruiting LeBron in March, has paid for over 40 billboards for Paul George. There are six different designs, all have the #PG2LA with three designs including LeBron with George. Here’s one billboard: pic.twitter.com/xHoHaItlqC

Emrani is the same fan who earlier this year paid for #LABron billboards recruiting LeBron James to the Lakers. We know it's clever advertising and fans are intense, but this billboard thing has gotten out of control.

The Lakers have two max-contract slots, and they appear intent on offering those slots to LeBron and George. Many around the league—including Chris Paul, apparently—think LeBron is headed to the purple and gold.

Though some are starting to believe George might actually stay with the Thunder, it's seemed like a foregone conclusion for more than a year now that he is headed to the Lakers, his hometown team. Monday, part of the Lakers' recruitment pitch to George leaked. Below is the script, which reportedly was set to play over a video. The monologue is titled "Two Dreams."
