UPDATED 7/18/17 4:50 p.m.: On Tuesday afternoon TMZ posted alleged footage from the incident. In it the victim that Elliott has been accused of punching is seen lying in a pool of blood seconds before his limp body appears to be carried out of the bar. TMZ further reports that the witness who recorded the footage claims to have seen the Cowboys running back arguing with the man seconds before flooring him with a punch to the nose. That account remains consistent with what other witnesses say they saw on Sunday night.

Dallas police are currently investigating what happened. Check out the brief footage below:

Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was reportedly involved in what is being characterized as a "late-night incident," according to several reports.

ESPN reporter Adam Schefter is reporting Dallas Police were sent to a bar in Dallas—confirmed by other reports as Clutch Bar—at around 9:40 p.m. on Sunday night. They responded to a 30-year-old man's claim that he had been physically assaulted. Later hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, the unnamed man reportedly could not identify who assaulted him.

A spokesperson for the Dallas police told Schefter no arrests were made as a result of the incident and no one was listed as a suspect in an official police report.

So how did Elliott get caught in the crossfire of an ongoing investigation? A witness who spoke to TMZ provided video of the victim following the incident, and the witness claimed they saw Elliott punch the man in question after the man was allegedly involved in a verbal confrontation with a woman in Elliott's party. This reportedly prompted Elliott to get involved.

A separate, unconfirmed report from a Cowboys fan who claimed to witness the event also points to Elliott being at the center of the controversy.

This latest potential dust-up creates an even rockier position for the Cowboys' star, as Elliott had already drawn the ire of the NFL for another incident from 2016 involving an Ohio woman who claims she was assaulted by the running back. Prior to this new incident at Clutch Bar, Elliott was staring down a possible two-game suspension, according to Schefter. It's unclear whether this development will factor into the league's ruling on a suspension.

Elliott also found himself under fire for exposing a woman's body at a St. Patrick's Day parade in March and for a visit to a Seattle weed dispensary during the 2016 NFL preseason. Former Cowboys players have criticized his decision-making skills, warning Elliott to focus on staying out of trouble.

“The guy’s just gotta stop being dumb, man. That’s really what it boils down to," Marcus Spears said. "With all of the social media, all of the media coverage that we give because we have to and we have to talk about these things, you would think that these guys would have in their minds and they would understand that I have things that I can’t do. And not as a football player, but just as a human."
