Preseason almost always sucks, regardless of the sport. But on Saturday night, we got our chance to see something we'll soon become very familiar with: Kevin Durant on the floor in a Golden State Warriors jersey.

Yep, that's right, KD made his kind of debut for his new team against the Toronto Raptors in Vancouver for an exhibition contest that sold out in less than a minute last month. Every time Durant touched the ball, there was a combo of both cheers and boos, with the boos seemingly being louder even though Vancouver hasn't had a stake in the NBA since the Grizzlies moved to Memphis in 2001.

As for his line on the stat sheet, Durant was 2-of-9 from the field during the 19 minutes that he played and scored a grand total of nine points.

After the game, Stephen Curry said of the booing of his new teammate, "I’m pretty sure those people weren’t affected by (Durant’s) decision." He added, "It’s just buying into a narrative that doesn’t make any sense." For his part, Durant also chimed in, saying, "I’m focused on the game of basketball," and further clarified, "I’m not really focused on whether they cheer or boo."

Anyways the Warriors lost the contest 97-93, which is absolutely nothing when you realize it's a meaningless preseason game and the Warriors blew a 3-1 lea—never mind, you've already heard it a million times by now.

Expect this all to amplify by ten a buttload once the games start to matter.
