Earlier this week, President Obama, in his annual "Barack-etology" special on ESPN, filled out his March Madness bracket for America. And because this is America, where you can't do anything without someone trying to piss on you, everyone from Fox News to Charlie Sheen took to the nearest hot mic to bash Obama—not for his picks (which were dubious to some, but sound overall), but because he filled out a bracket in the first place.
Criticizing the president for doing a fun thing on television is beyond lame, and Charles Barkley knows it too. While stepping outside in NYC, TMZ Sports caught up with Barkley and fellow Inside the NBA host/homie Kenny Smith. They were asked about their opinions on Obama's bracket—neither were too hot on his picks, but the pair did heat-up while speaking on critics of Obama—the Fox News and Charlie Sheen types of the world.
Barkley was blunt in his reply: "Listen, you people in America who are upset that President Obama did a bracket. Why don't ya'll just go say you don't like him because he's black."
