Through it all, no matter who has taken the court wearing a New York Knicks uniform, Spike Lee has been there to witness it. Whether it was John Starks and Allan Houston or Eddie Curry and Steve Francis, look courtside at Madison Square Garden and there is Lee, in some ridiculous outfit, cheering on his team.

Yet Lee was surprisingly absent when the Knicks took on the Milwaukee Bucks in London last week. You'd think the fan-face of the franchise would jump at a chance to help promote the NBA overseas, no matter how bad the Knicks are, but he was nowhere to be found. During a recent interview with Yahoo Movies, we found out why.

"We’ve lost 16 motherf—-ing games in a row. 26 out of 27" Lee said. "And I’m gonna get on a plane for that?! I can take a cab to see them lose!"

Touche, Spike. Touche. No one wants to take a 10 hour flight to watch Cole Aldrich play basketball. When the reporter called Lee out on being a bit scarce even at home games this year, Lee had another great response.

"I'm just oh-so-suddenly busy!"

Can you blame him?
