Today, Magic Johnson did what Magic Johnson is best known for these days: tweeting completely irrational and nonsensical things about the NBA.
I know the Lakers are 0-5, but they are playing exciting basketball and Kobe is worth the price of admission.
— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) November 5, 2014
Kobe should also be in the early MVP talks with LeBron, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Anthony Davis, Carmelo, Curry, Thompson and Rose.
— Earvin Magic Johnson (@MagicJohnson) November 5, 2014
Johnson went on to name just about every other player in the NBA as an MVP candidate, but the player that Magic's followers were most interested in was Kobe Bryant, who is currently in charge of the winless Lakers, and made just 14 of his 37 shots last night during a 112-106 loss against the Phoenix Suns.
Honestly, there isn't much more that we need to say here. You know the Lakers are bad. We know the Lakers are bad. You know Kobe isn't winning the MVP award, and so do we. These are all obvious facts, even just five games into the season. So, in the interest of brevity, let's just hand this one off to the good people of Twitter, who were not about to let Johnson's 140-character analysis go by unchecked.
Magic had too many cocktails.

MT @MagicJohnson: I know the Titanic is underwater, but they are navigating exciting waters and the band is worth the price of admission.

"I know Fannie Mae went under, but the magazines in the waiting room were really exciting and the coffee was worth the price of admission"
— Hardwood Paroxysm (@HPbasketball) November 5, 2014
You can clown on Magic, but without Kobe, the Lakers might be, I dunno, 0-6?
— Steve McPherson (@steventurous) November 5, 2014
You could argue that Magic was a better point guard than basketball analyst.

Magic Johnson tweets about basketball with the confidence and substance of someone who "doesn't normally like rap" talking about Macklemore.
