Peyton Manning demands excellence out of his teammates, his coaches, and, most importantly, himself. And apparently, he demands excellence out of his team's scoreboard operator as well.

Last night, the Broncos beat the Chargers 35-21 during a Thursday Night Football game to improve to 6-1 on the season. So Manning—who broke the all-time touchdown passes record earlier this week—should have been happy. But after the contest, Manning was pretty ticked off during his post-game press conference. And as it turns out, that was because the Denver scoreboard operator had made some questionable calls towards the end of the game that caused Broncos fans to cheer way too loudly while the Broncos had the ball and were trying to burn some clock.

"I have no problem with our fans," Manning said, "our fans are great. I have a problem with our scoreboard operator. I'm going to have to have a little talk with him. I'm not sure what he's doing. He was playing music and showing players dancing and getting the crowd fired up and we have the ball—I don't think we should be doing that."

Manning also wasn't happy about the scoreboard operator showing Philip Rivers on the big screen at one point in the fourth quarter.

"I don't think we should be showing their quarterback on the sideline," he said. "I thought it was kind of disrespectful. Our fans are great, our fans are loud. The scoreboard operator, it wasn't his best night."

He wasn't kidding, either. It's pretty rare to see Manning get too worked up about anything, especially after a win. But the scoreboard operator is going to have some explaining to do this morning when Manning gets to work.
