Back in 1998, there was some debate over who the Indianapolis Colts should take with the No. 1 overall pick, Peyton Manning or Ryan Leaf. We know it's a tired storyline but it's still relevant as Peyton Manning keeps on ticking and Ryan Leaf keeps failing to fade into obscurity, constantly breaking the law and making headlines for non-football related reasons.

Arguably the worst of those headlines came today (you just clicked on it) as Ryan Leaf is now being sentenced to five years in prison for violating his probation. The only "good" news is that Leaf won't have to serve time in Texas due to the previous time served in Montana. Because of this he has been granted parole, but is yet to be released. Previously, Leaf had violated his Texas probation when he broke into a Montana house to steal prescription drugs.

Meanwhile Peyton Manning just threw for three touchdowns Sunday night, on his way to a 1-0 start.
