Earlier today, Colts owner Jim Irsay made an appearance in court and pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, nearly six months after he was arrested in Carmel, Ind. for OWI and possession of a controlled substance. And the NFL has already acted on his admission of guilt. While people weren't sure how the league would handle punishing Irsay, they just announced that they will be suspending him for the first six games of the 2014-15 NFL season and fining him $500,000 for violating their personal conduct policy.

Irsay's suspension will kick at the close of the business day on Wednesday. And during his suspension—which will end after the Colts take on the Texans on October 9—Irsay won't be allowed to take part in any activities related to the Colts.
