Floyd Mayweather Jr. has already conquered the world of boxing. Is he going to conquer the world of basketball next?

Last night, Money Mayweather revealed that he is very interested in buying the Los Angeles Clippers from Donald Sterling, provided the NBA is able to force Sterling to sell the team sometime in the near future. And he doesn't want a small stake in a team. He wants to become the new face of the franchise.

"I can't come in here talking about Mayweather only going to get 3 percent or 4 percent," he said. "I got to get a solid percentage. But do we want to buy the Clippers? Yes, we do. We're very, very interested in buying the Clippers…Me and my team want to buy the Clippers. And we can afford the Clippers."

Mayweather isn't the only celebrity interested in snatching up the Clippers, either. A short time after Mayweather talked about his interest in the team, his former rival Oscar De La Hoya said that he would interested in teaming up with Mayweather to strike a deal for the Clippers.

"When it comes to business, what better than two minorities?" he said. "The commissioner wanted to see more minority ownership in the NBA. If he wants more minorities involved in the NBA, what better than me and Floyd to be part of a potential ownership group?"

And both Diddy and Rick Ross also sent out tweets indicating that they would be up for buying into the Clippers, if the opportunity ever presented itself:

I will always be a Knicks fan, but I am a business man. #DiddyBuyTheClippers #NameYourPrice
I'd be interested investing in @LAclippers !!!! Make It #WingstopArena @WingstopCEO Lets Goooo !!!

As of right now, Donald Sterling says that he's not selling the Clippers. But if the league is able to force him out, it'll be interesting to see who ends up buying the team from him.
