Nike ACG Torre Mid Womens Sneaker from 1995

The Nike ACG Torre Mid from 1995 is coming back for the first time ever as a retro this year, according to an internal brand document viewed by Complex.

The original ACG Torre Mid used waxed split leather and textured nylon mesh on the upper, per a Nike catalog from 1995 featuring the shoe. The catalog describes the Torre Mid as an outdoor hiking boot with thermoplastic lace hooks, an EVA midsole, a steel shank for stability, and recycled Nike Regrind rubber on the outsole.

The 1995 colorways for the men’s ACG Torre Mid included an obsidian/hazelnut, a faded olive/wild grape, a dark teal green/black, and a midnight navy/night blue. For women that year, the shoe was available in aubergine/wild grape, obsidian/juniper, and faded taupe/rainforest.

The Torre Mid retro is slated for a Holiday 2023 release and will retail for $150, per the Nike document. It’s possible the shoe’s release window will change given how frequently sneaker release dates have shifted in recent years.

Nike did not respond to a request for comment on the upcoming Torre Mid rerelease.

The pair shown here is an original; there are no leaked images of the ACG Torre Mid retro. The new version of the sneaker may differ from the first in its branding—the document viewed by Complex shows the Torre Mid with a smaller side Swoosh that makes it look more akin some listings for the ACG Caldera.
