If the rerelease of the original "Tour Yellow" Air Max 98 wasn't enough to satisfy Michigan fans, Nike Sportswear is applying a Wolverines-friendly theme to another one of its retro Air Max models.
The Air Max 97 is the silhouette in question this time around, with a fresh "Wolf Grey/Tour Yellow/Gym Blue" makeup appearing on the '90s runner. While this version opts for an OG construction over the oft-seen Air Max 97 Ultra variation, it does feature an updated mesh underlay material for a slightly different look than what we're used to seeing from the sneaker.
Despite the lack of an official Michigan connection, this is the latest in a string of shoes to adopt the colors of the Wolverines including an upcoming Air Jordan 12 Retro.
Expect this Air Max 97 to release Tuesday, May 1 for $160 from select Nike Sportswear stockists.
