When we think of all-white Nike Air Force 1s, the last thing that comes to mind is "tough." As dope as they are, white Forces are arguably the most disposable sneaker around. Some people even go as far as to replace them after the very first scuff, but this is one pair of "Uptowns" that's built to take a beating.
Created in collaboration with Highsnobiety and Paris' Plan 8 showroom, Clothsurgeon continues to reinterpret significant Nike designs with what he's dubbed the Nike Hike Force 1. Using a pair of crisp white AF1 high tops as the base, Clothsurgeon has stripped away the traditional rubber sole and replaced it with a Vibram Moreflex sole complete with a hand-sewn moc welt and leather storm welt for all the boot aficionados.
OK, so we probably wouldn't actually hike in these, but it's an interesting concept nonetheless.
