Way back in September, we broke the news that an Air Jordan 1 inspired by a memorable Michael Jordan appearance on Late Night with David Letterman was going to be dropping this year. Said to be themed after a shiny red track suit worn by the GOAT during the episode, we're finally getting a better idea of what these 1s will look like.
New imagery from @zsneakerheadz and @baltsneakershow depicts a red leather-based Jordan 1 with hits of dark "Midnight Navy" filling in the laces, tongue, Swoosh, heel underlays, and liner. Elsewhere, an "On Air" graphic appears on the insole. It's pretty spot-on with the description we reported in September, but it's good to finally be able to see what the finished product looks like.
Whether you're hoping to fill that "Bred" Jordan 1 void in your collection or just want another dope red colorway, these are looking promising. The "Letterman" Jordan 1s will be releasing on April 30 for $160. Now can we get Jordan Brand to retro the track suit, too?
