While it might seem like more players have worn Jordans against Michael Jordan, Kobe's sneakers are top of the line and a number of NBA players have laced up his signatures in opposition to the Black Mamba. Most entertainingly, one of the most storied rivalries of Kobe's career, the fisticuffs with Raja Bell, may have fallen by the way side thanks to Kobe's sneakers. Raja Bell and Kobe have love-hate relationship, minus the love part. In January of 2012, Kobe dropped in 40 wearing the Zoom Kobe VII. Bell wore the Zoom Kobe VI and fouled out with just 7 points. Advantage Kobe.

Remember that short lived "Linsanity" in New York? When that was going down, the Lakers and Kobe showed up to find Landry Fields wearing a pair of the Zoom Kobe VI. Landry put up 6 points and Kobe ran up 34 on the Knicks only to be outdone by Jeremy Lin's 38, which gave the W to the Knicks.

At the Olympic Games in London, Team USA had to keep the rep of American basketball. Kobe laced up the USA inspired Zoom Kobe VII. His Argentinian counterpart, Facundo Campazzo opted for another colorway of the VII. Despite Facundo's 8 points and 7 assists, USA and Kobe's 11 points had the US team moving on.

In April of 2012, a preview of the playoff match-up between the OKC Thunder and the Lakers set Thabo Sefolosha against Kobe. Both players wore the Zoom Kobe VI. Thabo grabbed 10 boards and had 6 points but Kobe's 26, 8 and 6 led the Lakers to a 114-106 victory.

After Lamar Odom was displaced to Dallas, the Lakers followed to take on the Mavericks. LO laced up the Kobe VII Sharks but only managed 1 free throw. Kobe put up 31 and the Lakers rolled to a 109-93 blowout. Blame a Kardashian?

Luke Ridnour and the T-Wolves tried to double up on Kobe shoes against the Black Mamba in February of 2012. While Wes Johnson was wearing the Crazy 8, Ridnour slipped on the Zoom Kobe V, but rarely does Kobe lose in front of the home crowd and his 31 points ensured the victory.

Raja Bell and Kobe continue to face-off in Kobe's shoes. Seems like tough shoes to fill for Bell, all things considered. As is usually the case, Kobe got the best of the boxscore compared to Raja but Bell needed only to point at the scoreboard when the game was over.

The Lakers have ownage on the Wizards (like most teams) but Washington continues to bring in new talent. In 2010, Nick Young laced up a pair of the Nike Zoom Kobe V in a Duke-like blue colorway. Kobe opted for the all black version of the V. Young had 21 points but Kobe's 24 kept the Lakers out of reach.

Coming off of his 5th Ring, Kobe was flossin' the graffiti-laden limited edition colorway of the Kobe V. Mike Dunleavy kept it low-key with the black colorway of the Kobe V. Kobe lit up the Pacers for 41 but ironically, 3 points scored by Dunleavy proved to be the difference in the 95-92 Lakers loss.

In April of 2010, the west coast rivalry between the Lakers and Blazers had just a few games between the two teams with both looking for playoff spots. Martell Webster opted for a white and red colorway of the Nike Zoom Kobe V, while Kobe laced up his Lakers version. Kobe had 20 points but Webster's 16 was enough for the Blazers to walk outof the Staples Center as winners.

Chris Duhon laced up the Zoom Kobe VI against the Black Mamba in January of 2012. Unfortunately for him, Kobe had 30 points and 8 assists while Duhon had just 3 points and 3 boards. Duhon got the last laugh, though, as the Magic won 92-80 in Orlando.

Wes Johnson of the Timberwolves tried a different approach from other players and laced up the adidas Crazy 8. The kicks were fresh but they didn't help Johnson much. He was only able to muster up 5 points, while Kobe led the Lake Show to victory with 31 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds wearing the Zoom Kobe VII.

Kobe has a history of going big at the Garden and in January of 2010 he led the Lakers to NYC to take on Chris Duhon and his Zoom Kobe IV "Knicks" iDs. Duhon dropped a deuce. Kobe scored 27 and the Lake Show came out on top.

DeMar DeRozan has one of the best footwear games in the league this year (check our Best Sneakers in the NBA coverage) but in 2010, his game did the talking. DeRozan wore the Kobe V to score 23 against Kobe's 20 point effort. DeMar's 11-for-11 from the free throw line wasn't enough for the Raptors to beat the Lakers, though.

J.R. Smith is no stranger to dope kicks and in February of 2010 he laced up a pair of Nuggets colored Zoom Kobe IV iDs against the Lakers. Kobe put up 33 points wearing the Zoom Kobe V "Bruce Lee" but J.R. had one of his crazy shooting nights, hitting 65% from the field and scoring 27 as the Nuggets beat the Lakers.
