An iconic Air Jordan makes its return, Supreme gears up for its latest Nike collaboration, and Nike celebrates the approaching 2018 World Cup with the help of Virgil Abloh to highlight this week's releases.
The releases kick off on Tuesday when Puma delivers its collaboration with video game publisher Sega to celebrate the iconic video game franchise Sonic the Hedgehog. Things pick back up on Thursday when Nike delivers its flag-covered "One World" pack, its latest project with Off-White's Virgil Abloh that includes two pairs of the Zoom Fly Mercurial Flyknit, a flame-covered collaboration with Supreme on 2003's Zoom Streak Spectrum Plus, and the "Infrared" Kobe A.D. NXT 360. Capping off Thursday's extensive list of pairs is the return of the "Last Shot" Air Jordan XIV as a part of Nike's "Art of a Champion" pack.
On Friday, Shane Gonzales' Midnight Studios is dropping a two-shoe collab with Converse and New York-based brand Pyer Moss is back to release its second collaboration with Reebok on the DMX Fusion Experiment. Nike has more releases of its own in the form of an Air VaporMax Plus that's part of Nike's annual "Be True" collection, a toned-down Air Max 98, a size?-exclusive Air Max 1 inspired by the Air Safari, and the "Power Is Female" Kyrie 4 delivering a strong message message of women's empowerment.
Saturday is rather tame this week with only the "Gold Standard" Air Force 270 inspired by the Larry O'Brien trophy and "Silver Shark" Air Max 97/Plus arriving at select Nike retailers.

Sega x Puma 'Sonic the Hedgehog' Collection

What You Need to Know: Puma's latest collaboration celebrates Sega's classic video game franchise Sonic the Hedgehog. Two pairs of the RS-0 make up the collab. Each represents the protagonist and antagonist from the series—Sonic and Dr. Eggman. The speedy hedgehog is represented by a blue hairy suede upper, details reminiscent of the Green Hill Zone level from the 2D platformer, and red accents as a callback to his sneakers. Dr. Eggman's pair is dressed in a red patent leather upper, silver and black accents, and caution-striped panels inspired by his Eggmobile. Shared detailed include dual branding on the tongue, special insoles, the game's title written on the outsole in black, and special packaging covered in pixelated graphics from the original game.
Nike 'One World' Pack

What You Need to Know: As the 2018 World Cup prepares to kick off in Russia in the coming weeks, Nike is celebrating with a special pack of sneakers. Dubbed the "One World" pack, a Nike Zoom Spiridon and Air Max 90 are outfitted in white uppers, metallic silver accents, and panels that feature an all-over print of flags from around the world to represent the global soccer tournament.

Off-White x Nike Zoom Fly Mercurial Flyknit

What You Need to Know: Virigl Abloh's latest project with Nike is celebrating the 2018 World Cup. The soccer-inspired collection is highlighted by orange and black colorways of the Zoom Fly Mercurial Flyknit. Flyknit uppers sit atop the React-cushioned midsole of the Zoom Fly SP model. Details added by the Off-White designer include a multicolor stripe on the midsole, special branding on the heel, trademark Off-White stamp branding on the medial side, blue and white polka dots across the upper, "FOAM" printed on the midsole in Abloh's signature styling, and special insoles and packaging. Along with the sneakers, Nike and Abloh collaborated on a capsule of matching apparel set to release alongside them as well.

Supreme x Nike Zoom Streak Spectrum Plus

What You Need to Know: Supreme's latest Nike collaboration brings back an obscure runner from the brand's archive—2003's Zoom Streak Spectrum Plus. The mesh and leather sneaker is best known for the flame pattern used on the toe box. Two colorways will be releasing on Thursday morning. One resembles the OG color scheme with a white upper and red accents. The other dons a black upper with green and blue flames. Supreme adds its own personal touch to the collab in the form of Supreme branding on the tongue, special insoles, and a "World Famous" globe logo placed on the heel.
Nike Kobe A.D. NXT 360 'Infrared'

What You Need to Know: The latest pair of Kobe Bryant's newest post-retirement signature model, the Kobe A.D. NXT 360, to hit shelves is this brightly-colored "Infrared" colorway. A white Flyknit upper is accented by a metallic silver Swoosh, red Kobe logo on the heel, and sits atop an infrared sole that utilizes Nike's React cushioning system.
Air Jordan XIV 'Last Shot'

What You Need to Know: One of the final pairs releasing as a part of Nike's "Art of a Champion" collection is the "Last Shot" Air Jordan XIV. The pair is making a return to celebrate its 20th anniversary. This colorway of the Ferrari-inspired signature model is given its nickname because it was on the feet of MJ when he hit a buzzer-beater over Bryon Russell of the Utah Jazz in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals to secure his sixth championship.
Midnight Studios x Converse

What You Need to Know: Shane Gonzales has designed a special collection of Converse sneakers for his latest Midnight Studios collaboration. Both a Chuck Taylor All Star 70 and One Star are constructed of a cream canvas upper with black detailing. The idea behind the design is that the silhouette's have been flipped inside-out. Sizing tags, stitching, and other markings are now placed on the outside of the upper, while the traditional uppers of both models is now present on the inner lining. Midnight Studios branding can be seen written on the laces in black.

Pyer Moss x Reebok DMX Fusion Experiment 'Black'

What You Need to Know: New York designer Pyer Moss is dropping another colorway of its DMX Fusion Experiment model. A sequel to the white version that released earlier this year, this time the model receives an all-black treatment. A black knit upper sits atop a DMX midsole borrowed from the DMX Run 10 model from the late '90s. Pyer Moss' added touch is the multiple sets of laces adorning the upper that allow a customizable experience for the wearer. Slight hits of color come from the white dual branding on the tongue, and mismatched red and yellow insoles.
Nike Air VaporMax Plus 'Be True'

What You Need to Know: Continuing its celebration and support of the LGBTQ community, Nike is releasing the next pair from its 2018 "Be True" lineup. This Air VaporMax Plus is covered in a pink and purple gradient upper, features Pride branding on the tongue and heel tab, and sits atop a rainbow midsole and outsole.
Nike Air Max 98 'Black/Anthracite'

What You Need to Know: Adding to the formidable list of Air Max 98s that have released in 2018 to celebrate the model's 20th anniversary, Nike is dropping a rather simple "Black/Anthracite" take on the retro runner this week. Black and grey panels make up the upper that alternates between suede, leather, and mesh. As a premium touch, snakeskin is used on the top eyelet and mudguard.
Nike Air Max 1 'Safari'

What You Need to Know: Following up its "Safari" Air Max 95 from last week, European retailer size? is dropping its counterpart this week. The "Safari" Air Max 1 also takes inspiration from the OG colorways of 1987's Air Safari with its grey and black Safari print panels and burnt orange mesh detailing. Like the first pair, this Air Max 1 will also be exclusively sold at size? stores only.
Nike Kyrie 4 'Power Is Female'

What You Need to Know: Originally debuted by Jayson Tatum during Game 7 of this year's Eastern Conference Finals, the "Power Is Female" Kyrie 4 releases this week. The light blue upper is accented by a darker shade of blue used for the branding, a speckled midsole, and orange hits on the outsole. The most significant accents include "Power Is Female" and "We Are a New Generation" phrasing repeated on the side panels, and female logos fused with a basketball stitched on the heel.
Nike Air Force 270 'Gold Standard'

Nike Air Max 97/Plus 'Silver Shark'

What You Need to Know: Originally launched in 2008, Nike is bringing back this "Silver Shark" colorway of the Air Max 97 Plus. Navy blue patent leather hits on the tongue, mud guard, and heel act as finishing touches that create a colorway of this hybrid perfect for any New York Yankees fan.
