Tracy McGrady will join a list of legends this week when he is inducted to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall Of Fame. As a part of this incredible honor, T-Mac was offered the chance to share personal memoribilia in the museum.
McGrady took to Instagram to show that one of the items he'll be adding to the exhibit will be a pair of the Adidas T-Mac 2 he wore during his time with the Orlando Magic. This particular white, blue, and silver colorway was worn by T-Mac in a game following the killing of his best friend, "Lil E." The heel displays a handwritten message reading, "Although you're gone, you're still here. Lil E." In the video's accompanying caption, McGrady wrote, "We're both going into the HOF and I know you looking down proud of your lil bro. Love you mane!"
McGrady's NBA career spanned from 1997-2013, in which he played for seven teams, most notably the Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, and Houston Rockets.
The National Basketball Hall of Fame Ceremony will take place Friday, Sept. 8. Check out McGrady's post below for a close-up look at these commemorative sneakers.
