Last night, LeBron James returned to the floor for the Los Angeles Lakers for the first time in over a month since suffering a left groin injury on Christmas Day. Fans of James' Nike signature line also get some good news this week as the first photos of the LeBron 16 Low have surfaced, courtesy of @J23app on Twitter.

The LeBron 16 is already a fairly low-cut model to begin with, so not a lot has been switched up for its low-top iteration. A one-piece bootie is covered in a mesh overlay to create the upper. The tongue and heel also appear to have been slightly shortened, and the heel pull tab has been removed. This pair's heel counter and midsole setup are borrowed directly from its predecessor. For branding, the 16 Low sports small Swoosh embroidery on the lateral toe, King James' signature lion's head stamped on the tongue, and a remixed crown logo debossed into the heel. Special insoles that read "LeBron" on the left and "James" on the right complete the design.

This colorway of the LeBron 16 Low features a black upper, white branding, a tan suede heel piece, red and pink insoles, and icy sections on the outsole. An exact release date and pricing for LeBron's next model have yet to be revealed.

UPDATE (03/12): According to Sneakersnstuff, this colorway of the Nike LeBron 16 Low is releasing on Thursday, March 15 for $160. While other retailers have yet to be confirmed, expect the pair to receive a wider launch in the near future as well.

UPDATE (03/13): Nike has officially announced that the "Soundtrack" LeBron 16 Low will be releasing via Nike SNKRS and other select retailers on March 28 for $160. The pair's color scheme draws inspiration from Outkast's classic Speakerboxxx/The Love Below double album that released in 2003, the year James was drafted. The most obvious hit inspired by the project is the mismatched red and pink insoles to represent each respective album's cover.
