Nike helped Oklahoma State celebrate its homecoming weekend in a special way. Today, 250 pairs of the Air Zoom Turf Jet 97 were released at the Oklahoma State Student Union that commemorate the 1988 Heisman Trophy-winning season of legendary running back Barry Sanders.

Worn by Sanders in his professional career as a member of the Detroit Lions, the '90s trainer is presented in the colors of the OSU Cowboys. The silhouette's unique upper design is dressed in grey leather with orange prominently featured on the Zoom Air pod in the midsole. Other special details include Sanders' college jersey number "21" stitched in orange and black on the left strap, OSU's official logo stitched on the right strap, his signature on the inner left tongue, "out of nowhere" on the inner right tongue, and "1988" on both heel tabs.

The limited-edition sneakers were exclusively released at the Oklahoma State Student Union earlier today, but pairs have already started popping up on eBay for anybody interested in getting their hands on the project.
