It looks like there might be another new rendition of the popular Nike Special Field Air Force 1 on the way. Instagram user @wopsole posted a photo of a never-before-seen pair, this one using an unorthodox approach to lacing.

This new style seems to be an updated version of the SF Air Force 1 that debuted last November at ComplexCon, and features a few tweaks. A zipper goes up the middle of the shoe, replacing a traditional lacing system. The closest thing to laces are the thicker ropes that almost look like bungee cords wrapping the extended collar.

This bright orange colorway features jumbo white "AF1" lettering going up the heel, a feature that may or may not be consistent for across the new model.

Nike's last addition to the Special Field line was a mid version of the SF AF1. While it's unclear if this shoe will be a part of that lineage, it's certainly representative of Nike's willingness to take this classic model in a different direction.
