To extend a partnership that has spanned over a decade, Adidas and Japanese streetwear label Neighborhood have tapped Cali Thornhill DeWitt—the Los Angeles-based artist who notably aided Kanye West in the creation of his massively popular Life of Pablo tour merch in 2016—to create an extensive collection of footwear and apparel.
The offering is inspired by Japan's take on terrace culture and the adoption of classic military wear by motorcycle gangs. It will include two pairs of the soccer-inspired Kamanda, a Stan Smith Boost, I-5923, and corresponding apparel. Each pair uses a color palette of black, olive green, and tan. The Kamanda is offered in tonal black or olive green options, the Stan Smith Boost sits an olive leather upper on a white midsole, and the I-5923 utilizes a green upper with tan suede overlays.Â
Neighborhood's signature Old English font makes appearances across each silhouette as well through tongue and heel branding, as well as debossing on the Stan Smith Boost and Kamandas.Â
Look for the entire Neighborhood x Adidas collection to hit adidas.com and other select retailers on Sept. 1 for $180-$230.
