After various teasers via social media by founder Ronnie Fieg, Kith has finally officially unveiled the footwear portion of its latest capsule with Coca-Cola. In total, the offering will feature four pairs of the Converse Chuck 70.
Each pair represents a different country and features the soft drink company's iconic font embroidered around the heel in different languages to symbolize each region. The United States, France, Russia, and China are represented with red, navy blue, white, and yellow uppers, respectively. Unlike the canvas usually used on the high-top, Fieg adds a premium touch by using frayed denim.
Additional details that set these apart from a typical Converse Chuck 70 include removable velcro patches shaped like bottle caps on the medial ankle displaying Kith's box logo, red Kith branding on the cream midsole, translucent green outsoles to mimic classic Coke bottles, and, "We live as many. We stand as one," debossed into the foxing. Each pair will also come packaged with extra sets of co-branded laces in a special multicolored box.
