As the 2018 NBA Playoffs move along, Nike continues to drop sneakers from its celebratory "Art of a Champion" lineup. One of the next pairs in line to release is inspired by Ray Allen's Game 6 heroics in the 2013 NBA Finals.
Dubbed the "Locked and Loaded" Air Jordan 28, this pair is inspired by the PE Allen wore when he hit one of the most clutch three-pointers in NBA history to send the Miami Heat into OT against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals. The pair's high black shroud features a reflective graphic, while the carbon fiber heel cup and shank plate are adorned with gold speckles.
When zipped down, a white mesh inner bootie with a red Jumpman logo on the tongue is revealed. The folded over shroud is emblazoned with '9' on the right shoe and '5' on the left to represent the 95 points scored by the Heat in the memorable Game 6 victory. This black and gold pair sits on an icy blue outsole.
Acting as the first retro of the Air Jordan 28, Ray Allen's "Locked and Loaded" PE is set to release on Saturday, May 12 for $200.
