Champs Sports' new blog, The Drop, is off to a good start. The site tackles everything that surrounds sneakers, sports, and the stories that connect the two.

Today, The Drop put up a piece that explains the troubled and unfortunate history of the adidas SL 72 at the 1972 Olympics and how it was able to flourish in the '80s fashion scene. With the release of a limited SL Loop Runner inspired by the SL 72 this year, it only makes sense to revisit the sneaker's history.
