After much anticipation following a first look at the shoes last year, the Cactus Jack x Nike Air Trainer 1 collabs were released yesterday and, to nobody’s surprise, sneaker enthusiasts were eager to get their hands on a pair.

Both the “Grey Haze” and “Archaeo Brown” colorways of the collaborative Air Trainer 1 launched yesterday exclusively on Scott’s website via an online raffle that was open for 30 minutes. According to TMZ, over 1 million entries were submitted during that time frame.

High-profile sneaker releases like the Cactus Jack x Nike Air Trainer 1 have typically been susceptible to sneaker bots, so it’s tough to determine the legitimacy of all the entries. Take last year’s Fragment x Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High for example—certain individuals were reportedly able to use software that helped the user generate multiple entries and gave them a better chance of securing a winning raffle entry.

Yesterday’s release of the Cactus Jack x Nike Air Trainer 1 collab was the first Travis Scott and Nike sneaker project to launch since the tragedies that struck Scott’s Astroworld Festival in Houston, Texas last year. A pair of Cactus Jack x Nike Air Max 1 styles were initially scheduled to launch in December 2021, but the release was postponed due to the incident.

For fans who missed out on yesterday’s release, Scott’s Air Trainer 1s and Air Max 1 collabs are dropping on May 27 via the Nike SNKRS app. The Air Max 1s will retail for $150, while the Air Trainer 1s will come with a $160 price tag.
