The Comme des Garçons x Nike Foamposites were considered by many as one of the best sneaker collabs of 2021, and now the Japanese fashion label and the Swoosh will follow it up with a pair of Air Max 97s.
The Rei Kawakubo-helmed label previewed its Fall/Winter 2022-23 collection at its Tokyo headquarters today and spotted at the show were two Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Max 97 styles. The images, which are captured by Fashion Snap, reveal the collaborative runner donning two different color schemes on the leather overlays and mesh underlays. Further details include premium woven shoelaces, and a tonal Air Max 97 midsole and outsole.
As of now, official release details for the Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Max 97s have yet to be announced by the brands but stay tuned to Sole Collector for updates.
UPDATE (09/15): It’s been months since we got a first look at Comme des Garçons’ new Nike Air Max 97 collab and now, we finally have a release date. The two-shoe project will be released on Sept. 22 exclusively at doverstreetmarket.com and at all Comme des Garçons and Dover Street Market stores for $350 each.
