Few imprints have been given as much leeway with the NMD as White Mountaineering, the Japanese brand that's been quite liberal with its interpretations of the modern classic. Its latest, an Adidas NMD R2, is no different.
In fact, the Adidas NMD DNA is obscured more than ever before here, the overall shape and the sole being the only parts truly kept intact. The usual three-stripe branding of the upper is slimmed down and pushed to the front of the foot in the form of three chevrons, a detail seen before on the White Mountaineering x Adidas NMD City Sock.
When can readers expect to see these collab Adidas NMDs in sneaker stores? There's not been much official info from Adidas on that yet, but European sneaker shop Caliroots has it listed as a March 1 release.
